Faithful & True Mission Statement
From Dr. David Jeremiah: According to Christian History, visitors to the Sistine Chapel once saw Michelangelo’s beautiful frescoes marred by muted colors and dark shadows. Many people assumed the artist had painted them that way on purpose. The real culprit; however, was grime and pollution. A major restoration project in the 1980’s showed what a thorough cleaning can do. Using computer technology and chemical solvents, experts repaired damaged sections and wiped away accumulated grime. The result is a brilliant, colorful room that reveals Michelangelo’s genius and leaves us breathless with his vivid images.

Some people have been covered and caked with grime so long that they think that’s the way they’re supposed to be. They need a thorough cleansing. Those dysfunctional attitudes, destructive habits, harsh words, self-defeating actions, and secret sins-they can all be wiped away by the blood of Jesus Christ. He forgives thoroughly and He forgives eternally; and if He forgives like that, shouldn’t we be merciful and forgiving to others? Do you need His forgiveness for yourself? Do you need to forgive another? Wipe away the grime and see the beauty the Master Artist has made.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
For in Christ Jesus neither [works] any thing…but a new creature. Galatians 6:15
Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaks evil…speaks evil of the law, and judges the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. James 4:11
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now, abide in faith, hope [and love]…but the greatest of these is [love]. I Corinth 13: 11-13
And he asked, “Master, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Matt 22: 35-40.

Ministry Finances – 60 days ago we were staring at a small but growing deficit. Today, I can report to you that we finished the year with a $4,000 surplus! This was due to the increased awareness of our need through the mail, phone and faithful donors responding. We are hearing that some churches do not feel comfortable supporting us due to the shaky economic conditions. This continues to plague many ministry partners. We do not take this as a defeat but an opportunity to sharpen our focus on the task before us which is searching for new donors and encouraging others to give in 2014.
If you would like to start your giving in 2014 with a contribution to Faithful and True, you can mail your tax deductible donation to: Faithful & True 2931 Loran Dr. E. Jacksonville, FL 32216
Our own self-care – We enjoyed Christmas with our grandchildren & their parents. We also drove further south to see Susan’s brother & family for Christmas dinner…Both of us took time off during the Holidays to relax after a very hectic year. We did attend our home church’s Candlelight Service at 6pm on Dec 24th and we did see a movie last month.
Prayer & praises – In case you have not heard, we had an answer to prayer as our son-in-law has found employment within his ministry field and in a community close by…Pray that God will continue to give me wisdom in locating new potential donors. It is vital for the sustainability of the ministry that we have a constant flow of new contributors while maintaining current relationships. We do praise God for our ministry finances thus far…Please pray for the unemployed men in Faithful and True…One of our men just graduated from UNF with honors. We are always thrilled to see our men improve themselves with an education supplemented with Spiritual study…we finished the year with a surplus!!!
Final Thought-I changed all my passwords to “incorrect”. So whenever I forget my password it will tell me ‘your password is incorrect.’
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation…Then will I teach transgressors thy ways and sinners shall be converted unto thee. Psalm 51: 12-13
